  56. I just ran a session with the buffer set to the default (setting it to
  57. the maximum seemed to solve the problem.) and session
  58. logging on and nothing seemed to go wrong.  
  59. I'll do this for a few days to verify it.
  60. The download on this recent test was just a few messages (9),
  61. so there was not much '^H\....'  stuff to trigger the effect if it was
  62. there.
  63. It seems probable to me now that this might of been a secondary effect
  64. of the 'reinput' problem also metioned in my original post, when
  65. the primary one *didn't* happen due to some timing fluke of the particular
  66. session.  But at the time, it seemed to go away when the buffer was
  67. maxed out in size.

  71. input string, instead of the suggested 
  72. '{is now ready for download ***}'
